Work, eat, sleep, repeat...
Well I haven’t had a lot going on lately, I have been working quite a bit of overtime. We only have three dispatchers right now, well 2 dispatchers and me. I’m technically not a dispatcher, but I haven’t started the desk officer stuff yet so I pretty much am still. Anyways, I got overtime on three days this month which is 12 hours, which is quite a bit since normally I wouldn’t get any. But with there not being anyone to work I get more money, so YAY!! We had two people in training, and one of them quit last week, so we are down to one. We have another one starting this week, but we will still be down one dispatcher. Plus until they are out of training its like they aren’t there schedule wise. I mean they are working, but they can’t work with out another dispatcher, so we don’t get any help that way from them. I was supposed to be off last night but said I would work for someone so they could go to a family function, and they were scheduled 12 hours so that was an extra four hours, then the other eight hours she will just work for me. Hopefully she will be able to work the night of my Birthday, cuz I really don’t want to work overnight on my B-day…That’s no fun..

I finally got an SD card for my phone so I can put MP3’s on it now, YAY!!! Other than that not much to report. I have been tired lately so I have been sleeping until like 6:00 at night, and then having to go to work from 10:00 to 6:00 in the morning and then sleeping until 6:00 again…Yea I know, lazy, but it has been relaxing. Plus I think I’m still catching up on sleep from when Gunnar was here…at least that’s the excuse I am using, LOL.

Well I made several updates on my
Myspace Page. So check them out. And you should get a myspace page if you don’t have one already so I can keep in touch more.

Back for more...Gunnar's visit
Well I am officially an officer now, I was sworn in on the 31st, and got my new badges, don't feel any different, but I'm sure I will once I get through the academy and out of dispatch LOL.

Well I haven’t updated lately, like I said I would, but with Gunnar in town I just haven’t taken the time to. We have had a great time while he is here, and unfortunately he is leaving next weekend already!!! This month has just flown by, as I imagined it would. We went to Six Flags the first week he was here. We went for two days and we had a BLAST. The Superman ride was pretty damn cool. Click here to see it!! It’s a rollercoaster where you get in the seats and your feet are dangling below you, then before the ride starts they lift the butt part of the seat up, so you are “flying like Superman.” It’s pretty cool, then there is a loop where you start at the top of the loop, and you are on the inside of the loop, so when you go down the first side of the loop you are going at the ground head first. (In the bottom picture on the website is the loop, and all the people on that car are upside down) Its great you are just glued to your seat with all the force.

We all really liked the Raging Bull roller coaster. Click here to see it!! On that one you are sitting almost in like bucket seats, but there is like no car around you, so you don’t have anything on the side of you are anything, its pretty cool. We bought the picture on that one, we all put one arm in the air like we were ridin a bull. I will scan that pic and post it as soon as we hook up the printer. Then there were all the common roller coaster types, the corkscrew, dangling roller coasters, standing roller coasters, sitting roller coasters, forward coasters, backward coasters, wooden and steel coasters, you get the idea.

We also went to the water park, which is free which is great. It was more fun than I thought it would be, I figured I would get board after a couple of hours, but we were there from about 11:00 till about 5:00. They have a ton of slides of all types, ones you need tubes for and ones you don’t. It was a good time. They also have the best 3D show that I have seen. I have only seen a few in a theatre, and they were all ok, I mean things were 3d, but they didn’t seem like they were right at you. Not this one though, the Six flags one is about Marvin the Martian, and you really feel like the objects are going to hit you. So that was cool, and a nice relief from the sun for 20 minutes.

Hmm what else have we done…besides video games…went mini golfing (I won) and went to the batting cages, have been rollerblading and bike riding quite a bit, went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (it was alright, first one is better) and we are going to the state fair today. Maybe the museum tomorrow, if Gunnar wants to, it seems pretty cool. Aside from that, its been mostly video games and playing cards or watching movies at home. Oh, and Gunnar has found several new foods that he likes. He really liked the Manicotti that I made, and he liked our variations of Chicken and Rice, he likes Buffalo Wings, and he really liked the Cajun Steak from Applebee’s (minus the onions and mushrooms, which is how I get it as well.) Oh and he also really liked the Spaghetti from the Noodles restaurant. Well I guess that’s all for now.
